Access
control has become more & more widespread, and is becoming
the norm in securing small and large facilities. It can e
as simple as standalone door control or as complex as multi
reader and multi site configurations. We also integrate alarm
monitoring and video badging into our systems there by having
one central system to maintain and access reports from. We
can incorporate multiple technologies into our systems ranging
from keypad entry to proximity, and for higher security, biometric
readers and scramble keypads. Vipond has teamed up with such
world renowned manufacturers as Infographic systems, RBH Technologies,
AWID, Rutherford Controls, and Acsys Biometrics to provide
you with state of the art technology and worry free building
security.
What is Electronic Access
Control?
Electronic access control provides computerized security to
a particular entry area. Reliable control over who is allowed
to pass through a particular entry at a particular time can
reduce a company's risk and liability.
How Does It Work?
Access control software determines who can
enter what entry points at specific times. Each person receives
a card or keycode, which when confirmed through a reader or
keypad, allows access to authorized areas at authorized times.
An entry will deny access if a person is not allowed access.
A small, programmable control panel provides the intelligence
to deny or grant access. If a card is lost or stolen, the
control panel can be reprogrammed quickly and easily.
What Are the Benefits
of Access Control?
Access control protects employees by keeping unauthorized
people out of buildings. Equipment remains safe, electronically
locked behind doors with only authorized personnel allowed
near it. Other benefits include:
- Eliminates need for key tracking and
duplicating
- Diminishes overhead expenses by eliminating
security officers
- Secures company and human resource
information
- Reduces vandalism and inventory loss
- Allows receptionist to focus on other
important issues
